I finally updated all the movies and changed the format from flv to mpeg4. The new flash video player supports this format too and its easier to handle for me (encoding etc.) and more popular than flv. Besides I implemented the Simple Flash Video Plugin 1.5 which combines shadowbox and JW FLV MEDIA PLAYER 4.0.

The current setup will allow a much easier and more functional implementation of videos. I hope, I can publish more interesting videos soon. If you experience any issues with the new video plugin report it at the IRC channel or send an email.

We are proud to announce the maintenance release of our #openttdcoop NewGrf Package, version 7.1. More than 40 changes were applied since the release of version 7.0.

Public Server Game #100 requires OpenTTD 0.4.5, game start was 10.06.08 and the game ended yesterday.

A little History

These days we are working on Public Server Game #100. This is a real jubilee. The idea of a Public Server was realized back in December 2005. After one year of #openttdcoop having only one Server we introduced the Public Server because there were too many players and new players. I increased the protection of our blog and deleted over 40 fake accounts. In the last several weeks the amount of fake user registrations increased drastically and there was new no plug-in available supporting this issue in wp 2.5 or higher.
But I found a nice article (German) how to solve this problem and the there mentioned plug-in SABRE works perfectly.
I hope I didn’t delete any real user accounts as I deleted all of them on instinct.

We are proud to finally announce the final release of our NewGrf Package Version 7.0. More than 40 changes were applied since the release of the beta. For example the new version of the Canadian Set (v0.3c) is included.
