OpenTTD on iPhone & iPod Touch

I didn’t believe it myself. But OpenTTD has been ported to iPhone and iPod. You might check ZodTTD’s Page for further information about the what’s and how’s. I am really curious how this works. If one could try it out, please tell us how fast it is and when it starts becoming a slideshow.

Anyway those ports must be really popular, their is a port for the Nintendo DS, too.

Have fun playing OpenTTD in trains, busses, planes or ships 🙂
I really wonder when the first player will join a coop server via iPhone ^^

Information about OSQC

The first osqc is, besides some minor issues, a great success. I am really impressed. A lot of the problems were answered directly by me and others were discussed in the according tt-forums thread.
Already 23 players signed up for the first scenario. If you have finished your scenario and created the final solution you probably want to submit it. I didn’t create the submit form yet *shame on me*. Instead I started coding a complete interface for #osqc. Which is quite complex and includes all the features we need. I.e. a judging area, trouble tickets for your questions about the scenario, the ratings and much more.

Please be patient, it is quite a lot to do. If you feel able to help us and speed up the development, contact us.
In the meantime you have to send your scenario via e-mail to ottdcoop@ppcis.org. Please use the e-mail address you signed up with and add your username + code to the subject of the e-mail. It makes it easier to analyse the mails.

I am also thinking about the judging procedure. My last idea was:
5 Judges: , <2 Coop Members> & <2 coop suspects or volunteers>. Read more about that at the osqc:Talk page

Major Wiki (1.12+) and WordPress (2.4+) Update

We did some major updates of Wiki and WordPress in the last days. Both are under Subversion control now. And as you can imagine, we are a community of developement, we use the latest versions of both systems. The same way as we do it with OpenTTD.
All the Bloggers might be interested in the new “Tagging-Feature”, which makes the categorising process even easier.
I don’t wan’t to go in detail about the work to update the systems. It’s always a lot of fiddling, but now we are fine.

If you might recognise any kind of errors, please inform us.

New Industries!

The last point on the Roadmap to 0.6 seems to be done:

-Feature: [NewGRF] Add support for Action 00 for Industries and IndustryTiles.
Thanks to :Csaboka for original concept, specs & help. Dalestan for technical explanations.
Pikkabird & Georges for detailed comments on their grf works. The Alpha testers (You know who you are).
And finally (but not least) Maedhros (newhouses), peter1138(newgrf) Rubidium and glx (numerous and welcome patches)
Remember: it certainly can be buggy. But be sure that behavior has been tested in TTDP (if you can) before raising a flag.

2 Beta’s in same week!

Our lovely member Progman did it! A config tool for a easy way to set our start options, no thinking about diff_options anymore.

Progmanâ??s Config Tool

Because the NewGRFs will also be managed over this tool, we need a new system for saving our GRFs, they need to have the right orders. Trainsets have to be after narrow gauge track i.e. etc.
