#openttdcoop NewGrf Pack v6 final released

The latest update of our NewGrf Pack happened really silently. But to keep you all up-to-date I want to attract notice about this latest update. The list of all changes (and its huge) can be found on the corresponding Wiki Page. Though the last change from beta to final was the inclusion of the NewWater Grf from Leppka version 0.6 which is still not supported by the latest nightly builds of OpenTTD. The patch is already in development and maybe this posting fortifies the devs to include it :-). Of course you can find the download page with all available archives at the same place as always.

Ammler decided to slow down the development of the NewGrf Package. It is a lot of work and you need a lot of time. In my opinion this Package is really nice and almost complete. There were a lot of discussions about versioning the package and its updates. We didn’t find a good way to solve this problem yet. Maybe this is the next step. Of course we will update the package if major updates of important grfs are released.

Video Tutorial for the Terminus Station

After fiddling around with a lot of video tools I created a first Video Tutorial of the ‘Osai-like’ Terminus Station. Mainly for those who want to follow the whole process in detail and also for those who want to check out the quality of this video. This is my first Video and I didn’t edit it too much. Give me some comments and feedback.

Additionally I created a Video Directory where you can browse and download videos.

Roles, Large Boats and Shared patch

I have a proposal for a fancy game we can try, which would involve multiple companies filling in for specific roles, shared global exchange idea and large capacity ships. In a nutshell – it is schema where each company is given a region, and it would not deliver any of local cargo (thus delivering all primaries to an exchange point) while being sole owner of some secondary industry and processing required materials delviered from other regions (taken from exchange point).

Major Wiki (1.12+) and WordPress (2.4+) Update

We did some major updates of Wiki and WordPress in the last days. Both are under Subversion control now. And as you can imagine, we are a community of developement, we use the latest versions of both systems. The same way as we do it with OpenTTD.
All the Bloggers might be interested in the new “Tagging-Feature”, which makes the categorising process even easier.
I don’t wan’t to go in detail about the work to update the systems. It’s always a lot of fiddling, but now we are fine.

If you might recognise any kind of errors, please inform us.
