#openttdcoop

Roleplaying is a concept most people are familiar with, either on-line, in real life or in the bedroom. But we’re going to bring it to #openttdcoop. We started a new game on the mainserver which comes with an all new concept: there are multiple countries (companies) all managing their own island and a mother company which handles all the inter-country transport.
We currently have the following companies:

• Stokkel NV (XeryusTC)
• Coercina Government (hylje)
• Muchtonia Transports (Mucht)
• Thieringia Express (Thgergo)
• IJsland BV (everyone else, mother company).

This idea was born out of a spider-in-the-web idea of mine, but as always, my idea got a 180 flip and now we have some kind of competition on the mainserver.

You will see more blog posts about this game from other members over the time in the new category “Roleplay”. They will tell something about their countries and what happens in it, and remember, it’s just imagined so don’t panic when someone does something completely screwy ;).

2006 has been another year full of heights and lows – #openttdcoop slides into its third year of existence. Within the past year, #openttdcoop managed to grow, become a comprehensive community, standardize its servers and spread its reputation to play a solid part of the OpenTTD-universe. A year which is worth to be both reflected and celebrated. Lets have a short review:

As of today, January 1st 2007, #openttdcoop welcomes two more full members: hylje and piratejerkk !

hylje was appointed due to his wiki-related activities as well as his high presence at our IRC channel and ingame at the Sandbox Server. piratejerkk has been active for ages in our community and has proven to be both a solid constructor ingame and a rock-solid nick on IRC.

Along with these member-appointments, MooUK has been invited to join our Mainserver as our new Aspirant!

I wish all of our Members, Aspirants, Sandboxers and Blog-Visitors a happy and prosperous new year 2007!
