It has been quite a while since Mark introduced the SRNW and since then, we have tried quite a few self regulating stations and networks. The main point of this article is in showing the station designs that we already used in the past, and uncover the reasons why such a construction as a transfer station is so key for progress with self-regulation. And in the end of the article, we will also look how such a station is built.
It is here! Public Server Game 200 finally begun with the beginning of new year 2011 and the end of 2010. In the last year, we had some amazing games, one better than other. We beaten a lot of our records and set some new milestones to reach. After all that, as an “ultimate game” comes public server game 200, which is meant to be as a collection of all the stuff we did not onlu in the last 12 months, but all that we ever did. For more information what we prepared for you as psg200, read further. 🙂
Have fun and Happy New Year!
In PSG 199 we revisited the SRNW concept, and a few times I looked for badly serviced stations to see what the problems were. The thing that most struck me and annoyed me was, that because of the dummy trains holding up incoming empties while to check if the empties can be filled, the loading time of each empty is about doubled: half of it waiting to enter an empty platform, half of it to load. So I wanted to get rid of them, but V453000 pointed out to me, that without dummies trains would return to the DROPs with small loads, clogging up the network.
Still, the situation annoyed the hell out of me. So I thought: Can I design a SL, that lets empties in, and only lets full trains out, without Full loading orders?
After quite a long time of searching for new adepts, a new one has finally been found!
He was here in the very old times, he is here now. 🙂
Always being kind, helping others and maintaining a very solid building style,
