Next on the list: industries!

It has been a while since I have posted and early development article of NUTS and now is the time when I am starting another newGRF project – new industries. It all started as I was trying to find some ways how to improve FIRS, but the required changes would be way too major so it is better off to make a separate newGRF. In this article I am going to present to you the ideas that I have gotten so far, and how is the core of the set going to work and of course I am going to explain why.
P.S. if you have any nice ideas about the newGRF name, please do not hesitate to throw them at me 😉

Thank you & Good bye

Dear coopers,

This thursday I will be leaving for indefinite time. It (hopefully) won’t mean goodbye forever but I take this chance to say thank you to the community.

No game has kept me interested nearly as long as OTTD has and no community I know is as friendly as #openttdcoop. I’ve been playing public server games  since september 2007 and I’ve been member since march 2008. I’ve enjoyed every single time I played games, but it wouldn’t have been nearly as good without the great bunch of people that make up #openttdcoop. I don’t get along great with everyone at times but I enjoy the company of all of you and would consider some of the long-term players as good friends.

As some of you probably know I’ve been away traveling around Australia for 2 years from which I’ve recently returned. Traveling being the addictive thing it is, I’ve decided to hit the road again. My plan this time is to go backpacking around Southeast Asia, possibly followed by a year in New Zealand, however, plans tend to change when on the road so I might end up doing something completely different.

It’s great to see the simple concept of getting together and creating clever transportation networks together going strong and still gaining popularity 6 years after it started. As I know nothing about server managing or coding my contributions have been limited, therefore I want to say thank you, especially to the members who do the actual hard work behind the scenes in their spare time getting hardly anything in return; you guys are awesome. Also I want to say thank you to all the regular players keeping the community active and growing.

I will definitely be dropping in to say hello every now and then but you probably won’t be seeing me in-game for a while, so thank you and good bye.
