Progman strikes back

After the inefficien detour grid I tested a new crazy network idea: a 80-line ring.

The network plan

The whole map is placed with a clockwise ring. Each train travels on this ring and can be switch to more inner or outer rings after each 7th tile. This is how it looks in closeup.
How the ring looks like
I use the basic locations for the drop stations like FACTORY DROP at the east border and WOOD DROP at the south border. However I noticed the drop stations are to near at the borders, the inner trains must take an extra round as they cannot reach the station in the first place. This leads to a lot of detours, but looks funny 😉

You can test it with the savegame http://blog.openttdcoop.org/files/savegames/rings.sav

Nice “work”. Why don’t you use two mainlines crossing in the center ?
